Referendum Campaign Costs 2016.May-Aug

In 2016.May the "Let's send message to Brussels, so that even they understand!" campaign* (text in Hungarian: “Üzenjünk Brüsszelnek, hogy ők is megértsék!”) by the Hungarian government started with 1.200 'giant' billboards**.

After a lot of calculations by our financial specialists (as you understand afterwards calculating always takes more time than just tranferring the taxpayers money), the following figures can be given:

The costs of the campaign in May alone 1,35 million EUR (404 million HUF) for TV and radio commercials and newspaper and billboard advertisments.
From May.20 till 31 a grand total of 2.201 TV spots were broadcasted, these spots were shown on all major commercial and public TV channels***.
The campaingn continued the following months, costs as follows for 2016.June total 1,47 million EUR (440 million HUF) and for 2016.July total 2,15 million EUR (645 million HUF)
In August 1.700 'citylight' boards and almost 4.800 'orias' billboards** (contents see post 'Referendom Billboards') were ordered by the government, the printing costs alone 73 thousand EUR (22 million HUF).

* this information campaign, executed by our Hungary loving people, was necessary to "inform every Hungarian citizen about the referendum and the most important risks associated with mandatory relocation." (quote from statement from our Cabinet Office of the Prime Minister****).
** 'giant' billboards ('óriásplakát' in Hungarian) size ca.5,0 x 2,4 mtr (so size ca.2/3 of a football goal), these boards are located along main roads in cities and villages, along highways and inside public transport stations
*** all TV stations except RTL Klub and HIR TV, they did't want and/or weren't asked to show
**** by some ill-meaning people called 'Propaganda Ministerium'.
